The activity of our main Denizen factory and the new one that was about to open up its doors before the flood in Bangkok has halted our new production.

We apologize to all our retailers and distributors for the delay. We will keep informing you with tthe improvement. We have purchased in excess of $87,000 of sandbags between both factories to save our expensive Swiss and German machinery and precious metal bullio .

We hope life will resume normally at the end of November.  I have taken some photos while I was personally there with our staff to show you the level of disaster and our production activity came to a complete stop to face one adversary: flood at our doors.

Thank you for your understanding and thank you for your support. Our other distribution activities have been slightly affect due to reaffecting most staff in other branches to the factory. We kindly ask you be patient and understanding with us for 15 to 20 more days until we can have a normal activity and clean up the mess left after the flood.

No words can express the nightmare we went through during the unprecedented flood of October to mid November 2011 in Bangkok.

Our gratitude goes first to all our dedicated employees who helped save our factory with minimal damage and then our thanks to all our customers who patiently have composed with this unforeseen act of god that took all our resources to save our working tools and buildings.  

Looking back at the first photo after the initial preparation, in our wildest dreams, we never thought water would rise above 5 in (15cm), little did we know it would reach 7ft (210cm) at the peek of the flood.

Thanks to Marc here ferrying employees from their homes to come to man factory  relaying others to protect, clean up and monitor the pumps doing an outstanding job

SEE THE FIRST PICTURE HOW LOW WERE THE SAND BAGS INITIALLY BEFORE THE EN VOGUE US TEAM ARRIVED IN BANGKOK BRINGING ALONG REAL RAFTS, POWERFUL PUMPS AND PIPES TO HELP EVACUATE THE RISING WATERS 24/24 MEANWHILE THE FLOOD IS OVER 5FT HIGH JUST OUTSIDE OUR GATE. UNBELIEVABLE! THANK YOU THANK YOU BANGKOK TEAM FOR YOUR SACRIFICE TO HELP SAVE OUR WORKPLACE.

 THANKS TO THE ARRIVAL OF OUR EN VOGUE TEAM FROM THE U.S. AND ST MAARTEN THAT BROUGHT SUPER POWERFUL PUMPS WITH THEM TO HELP THEIR LOCAL THAI COLLEAGUES  FIGHT RISING WATERS YOU CAN SEE IN OUR PARKING. WE WON THE BATTLE AND HOPEFULLY THE WAR AGAINST THIS DISASTROUS FLOOD THAT DEVASTED THIS BRAVE NATION. WE ARE HAPPY TO TAKE A BREAK AND SMILE. THE WATER IS OUT OF THE BUILDINGS. OUR MACHINERY IS SAVED AND OUR PRECIOUS METAL BULLION SAFELY PROTECTED.

 WE ARE LOSING THE BATTLE INSIDE THE FACTOY. WE JUST DO NOT HAVE THE SUFFICIENT PUMP POWER. NOTHING AVAILABLE IN ALL BANGKOK. WE HAVE TO HOLD ON UNTIL THE U.S. EN VOGUE STAFF BRINGS ALL THE NECESSARY HARDWARE AND TOOLS TO FACE THIS UNFORESEEN CATACLYSM.

 WATER IS ALREADY AT THIGH LEVEL. SOME EMPLOYEES ARE MOVED OUT IN RAFTS MADE OF WHAT WE COULD FIND IN OUR FACTORY

BRINGING SANDBAGS HAS BECOME A 24H/24 ROUND THE CLOCK CHAIN OPERATION TO SAVE WHAT CAN BE SALVAGED AT THE EN VOGUE DENIZEN FACTORY. THE WORD IS NOT TO LET THE RISE OF WATER DEMORALIZES US AS IT SEEMS A LOST CASE WITH HARDLY NO PUMPS, NO FILTER, NO FLEXIBLE PIPE LONG ENOUGH AND ABOVE ALL RAFTS TO MOVE DOCUMENTS, PERSONNEL AND FOOD IN A 'DRY MANNER'.

 WATER IS RISING AT ALMOST KNEE LEVEL ON THE 2ND DAY AND THERE IS NO STOPPING IN SIGHT

 EVEN THE NEW FACTORY THAT HAS NOT OPENED ITS DOORS IS AFFECTED BUT NO MACHINERY INSIDE WHICH MAKES OF A LESSER PRIORITY FOR THE TIME BEING.

En Vogue has opened on March 1, 2011 an additional boutique next door to our Maho flagship store. This store is exclusively dedicated to ladies accessories, jewelry, exclusive italian shoe lines, belts  and our Italian resortwear line Linea Positano etc...

MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2011

En Vogue has signed a new lease for another retail store at the all new Blue Mall. This shopping center has become the most prestigious address in St Maarten, before even opening its doors. We will be located on the 3rd floor with a possible option of 2 kiosks in the atrium for Lalo Treasure store and Avalanche watches www.avalanche-watch.com.  What you see below is the areal view of Blue Mall, next to Porto Cupecoy Yacht Club. The official opening of this En Vogue store is scheduled for October 1, 2011. En Vogue will receive keys to start interior construction and decoration on April 1, 2010. Estimated completion is planned for September 1m 2011.

The interior design of the newest En Vogue store scheduled to open on March 1, 2011 is nearing completion. We will be ready on time for our Grand opening. This new En Vogue store is adjacent to our flagship store located at 8 Maho Plaza. Come back soon for updates in a few days.

We are expecting the arrival of Trinidad Denizen Bracelet to be delivered to their retailers. You will be able to find them at IOS at the most prestigious mall of all of Trinidad The Falls, upstairs at IOS and you will be able to find them at Apocadas at Crews Inn resort and marina.

In January, a new En Vogue subsidiary will see the light in Hong Kong. It will be registered under "En Vogue Asia". This new branch of En Vogue distribution will take part in the fastest growing economic region in the world. Mr Paul Cheung has been appointed regional general manager. His territory will extend from UAE to the South Pacific. Paul Cheung can be reached at paul.cheung@en-vogue.us and his work like is: (852) 9099-6034. Mr. Cheung was previously the export manager for T & K international a large trading company in Hong Kong.

In a ceremony that gathered most of traveling sales reps of the distribution arm of En Vogue, the retail and administrative staff plus our our local retailers and friends, we celebrated a new all time record since the start of manufacturing of the Denizens. The 3,000,000th Denizen of the year was shipped on Dec 06, 2010. The recipient of the 3rd millionth is our retailer Lau boutique in Maui, Hawaii. We look forward to another all time record of 5M Denizens/year possibly by 2012 or 2013 our target year.   Thank you everyone. We truly worked hard to please you all while thriving to be a second to none company with our service and our products.
