HISTORY 

The Denizen Bracelet idea was born on a secluded powdery white sand beach of ultra chic St Barth.

Three friends, sipping their tropical cocktails were sharing their travel experience. All of three were great travelers. Conversation drifted to a subject that changed few things in their lives. The subject was a basic conversation why travelers had a very limited choice to to offer in terms of souvenirs. All countries, all destinations whether a resort, a town or an airport, whatever, wherever may be the contient, each and every place, within a few exceptions, offered the same basic made-in China gift/souvenir, namely: 

- caps                        - coffee mugs and

- polos/t-shirts            - key rings.

What happened to creativity? What happened to uniqueness? What happened to trendiness, to classiness, to elegance? Everything is so different about St Barth, how come we couldn't offer an alternative to the same thing found in Bombay?

One artistic forefinger started drawing various shapes of been there done that.

One of the friends, out of the blue mentioned receiving the previous week as a birthday present from Paris, a telescope. On his first sighting he saw an incredible beauty of an unreachable destination yet by today's means. That was the inspiration to reproduce minimalism with elegance of Saturn and its discs as on this photo.

As a bright full moon night rose from the calm waters of the Caribbean, the idea was shaping up into a bracelet with a round faceplate with cut outs of areas, regions, countries and islands. Birthing of the Denizen was nearly complete and so were the details laid out from production to distribution. Ultimately everyone went to see what the telescope had to show exactly as you are seeing above. The name Saturn was taken everywhere in the web. The name had to be thought of.

As anyone can afford see Saturn, so was the Denizen meant to be. Affordable to everyone to own, to wear, to donate and to receive.

3 x 7 x 10 x 14 x 84 = 246,960 combinations and still counting. (legend of figures herebelow).

So hardly no two persons will own an identical Denizen while still wearing a Denizen bracelet of some sort of some part of the globe. Making it as unique anyone of us is. Making it as identifiable as each one of us is.

One last detail, with years behind us, the Denizen was meant to remain exclusive to St Barth as St Barth is exclusive. Fame and success decided otherwise.

As the bracelet became available at major resort areas and gained a form of a symbol, a form of message, it became a collectible item, more islands, cities, regions, states and countries asked us to manufacture their own distinctive Denizen Bracelet. DESCRIPTION

The bracelet is beautiful and elegant in its streamlined  French design and minimalism. It is manufactured in Paris, France by the very same silversmiths/goldsmiths that manufacture for the likes of Cartier and many more known names.

The Denizen is a round faceplate in which is cut out the map of an island, city, state, region or country or private logos, by extension today.

The map is either hollow or filled with a precious metal.

The support material is always a precious metal or noble material that has an ever increasing market value. However the true value reside in its meaningful and sentimal value.

Used materials are Silver, gold, platinum, mother of pearl, ebony, Rhodium (for plating silver only) etc...

- 1. simple and plain face plate

- 2. one cz encrusted in the faceplate

- 3. one row of cz rimmed around the faceplate

- 4. a fully filled cz faceplate called pave.

 Denizen 2 is also offered with a Swarovski crystal or 0.4ct diamond (for 18ct gold Denizens available only at fine jewelry stores).

Denizen 3 can be mounted with the same alternative stones.

Denizen 4 can also be mounted instead of pave with the same alternatives as stated in Denizen 2.

 The Denizen faceplate comes in 3 sizes:

S: 16mm  or 0.64in.

M 21mm or 0.84in

L  24mm or 0.96in

The most popular wristband (variations do exist) has an adjustable string. The slack is long enough to allow the Denizen to be worn as an anklet and fit a baby's wrist. Usually it is a 2mm or 0.08in. waxed string made of modal woven yarn. Modal is the the cotton the world has to offer, higher in quality than Egyptian cotton. However cotton tends to fade its color in ocean and pool in the short or long run (depends on salinity and acidity). For small faceplate the string is 1mm or 0.04in. thick.

It is also offered in polyamide a shinier yarn. However the color is stable and does not fade, under UV, while swimming in ocean and in pools. (it is the very same fabric of which is made your swimsuit).

There are 14 colors of wristband available all made of durable, elegant and soft Modal yarn The wristband can come in woven leather straps or in silver one or multi link silver bracelets.

All bracelet faceplates and strings may look alike in appearance, but the combinations and opportunities are in fact endless.

- Each island, city map or city symbol, region, state, country, university, resort or club have either their distinctive geographical map or shape or their unique artistic logo cut out in the center.

All bracelets faceplates are carefully crafted in Sterling Silver 925 dipped in rhodium so they may never tarnish while on display. They are thick enough to be worn decades on your wrists without every removing them as most of us do. This is the reason we give it a lifetime warranty (excluding the cotton wristband that wears out after 3 to 7 years if worn daily in harsh conditions such as surfing everyday in the Caribbean).
